Patricia Muñoz joins Afi as managing partner in the area of Financial Regulation and Interlocution with Supervisors

Madrid, September 1, 2025. Afi incorporates Patricia Muñoz as managing partner of the area of Financial Regulation and Interlocution with Supervisors. With this new addition, Afi materializes the cohesion of all regulatory services which had been providing fragmented through consulting teams to banks, insurance companies and Investment Services Firms (ESI). A single area has now been created that will coordinate efforts, promote best practices and establish a unified dialogue with all supervisory entities, both national and European.

In addition to the regulatory services that Afi has been providing to financial institutions for more than two decades, there are also those related to access to capital markets by non-financial institutions, whose development is currently being particularly promoted through various European and national initiatives within the framework of the single market.

Patricia Muñoz is a State lawyer on leave of absence (class of 2004). In her more than twenty years of career, she has been an assistant State lawyer in the Ministry of the Interior and in the economic-financial area of the National High Court, among other positions. Since 2021, he has served as Director General of the Legal Service and Secretary of the Council of the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). In that institution, she previously held the positions of Deputy Director General of the same service (2017-2021) and Director of the Department of the Contentious Service and the Sanctioning Regime of the CNMV (2013-2017), as well as Deputy Secretary of the Council (2013-2021).
