Afi Global Education launches Accedia, its new Vocational Training School

Afi Global Education, a leader in education in economics, finance and technology, announces the launch of Accedia (www.accediaFp.es), his new school of Vocational Training (VET), in partnership with FP Core Networks, experts in technology applied to FP. With this project, Afi responds to the growing demand in the labor market in Spain for professionals with higher degree qualifications.

A necessary boost for Vocational Training in Spain

According to the last official report of 2019, only 12% of students in Spain opted for vocational training, a figure much lower than 23% in the European Union And to 26% in the OECD. However, this trend has been increasing in recent years, driven by the high employability of these profiles. In fact, according to Clara Sanz, Secretary General of VET, the youth unemployment rate in Spain is around 40%, while among vocational training graduates it is reduced to 7%, equating to the European unemployment average.

In addition, the recent reform of the VET system, in force since September 2023, establishes the compulsory dual training from the first year of the Higher Degree cycles. This allows students to combine theoretical learning with internships in companies from the beginning of their training, eliminating the previous model based on the Workplace Training (FCT) module at the end of the cycle. Since January 2024, trainees have also They contribute to Social Security without this entailing a cost to companies, since the Ministry of Education assumes the funding.

An academic offer aligned with the labor market

According to the 2020 Labor Market Report, the most popular higher education degrees in Spain include:

· Administration and Finance (109,149 contracts signed)

· Network Computer Systems Management (15,995 contracts)

· Multiplatform Application Development(13,529 contracts).
